Rain Garden
Rain Garden at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Westchester. The garden catches runoff from the roofs of the two church structures and using a series of depressions and mulch basins allows the water to soak back into the ground instead of flowing into storm basins. This cuts down on water pollution in waterways and helps filter the rain back into the groundwater. Plantings include various vegetables and greens along with a medicinal herb garden and citrus trees. Los Angeles, California, USA
